Are you doing too much maintenance on our bikes?

Should we slow down and let the bike age, allowing it to accumulate wear and tear?

Is Over-Maintenance Making Us Worse Riders? What do you think?

Personally, I wouldn't just leave my bike to accumulate wear and tear over time without doing anything to keep it in shape. It's like not taking your car for mechanical maintenance when it's due. You're just putting yourself at risk. Even with the so called over-maintenance, the bike will definitely age and wear out with time.

I sort of lean your way on this.

A bike is way easier and way less expensive to keep updated, so you might as well keep it fixed and in tip-top shape as long as you can.

A bike can last you a lifetime. A car only lasts so long.

Exactly! Unliike a car, with a bike, the owner doesn't really need to take the bike to anyone who's going to do the maintenance work. It can all be carried out by the biker.

"YouTube University" got me cracking up so badly 😂 😂 but that's a fact. It's possible to learn how to do everything on YouTube.
I've learned so much stuff with YouTube.

My headlight went out and I paid around $250 to get it fixed by the dealer.

Now I can do it, thanks to YT and it costs be the price of the light which is like $30.

It's just like they say, "Information is power" and those who deal in the information business makes so much money for it.

This is why I will always consider YouTube as a goldmine because of the kind of information available on it for free.

I'm a big supporter of YouTube.

I even give back by being a creator on there. :)
