Solo touring or bikepacking should be for everyone, right?

How about women on their own?

I don't write this to be sexist because I feel that everyone should be able to tour or bikepack on their own, regardless of their gender. I also feel like everyone should be able to do that without being harassed.

Sadly, that's not always the case.

What are your thoughts on this issue? I especially want to hear from riders in the women communities :)

Doing this solo as a man is not even safe and not to talk about a woman doing it.

I would never support or agree for a lady to take that kind of a risk.

Many women do it because they feel like it's their right to do it.

I think it should be up to them but I know that different cultures might not agree.

When I watch videos of solo female bike travelers enter the Middle East or African nations, they usually have a hard time getting through it without being emotional or scared. But it's a much different culture there and I doubt it ever changes.
