When it comes to Bikepacking or bike touring, would you rather stay in a hotel an Airbnb or something like that or camp?

What is your preferred lodging?

Personally, I prefer camping even though I know that staying in a hotel would be a lot more comfortable. But camping will put me right into the nature which is always beautiful.

I prefer camping because I fear hotels will have bugs in them.

Even here in the US, bed bugs are bad!

Bed bugs are my most hated of all bugs. It's very difficult to get rid of them once they have infested any of your bed or couch.

The last time I caught on on my cloth, I practically undressed outside the house, bathed outside and burnt the clothes.

Heat is pretty much the only way to get rid of them aside from dangerous chemicals.

Yeah, also freezing cold gets the job done too but I think using heat is better.

Those stronger chemicals are equally dangerous for human beings.

Yeah. I'm not a fan of chemical applications. I'm sure that's why everyone is sick all the time because of all the chemicals being used everywhere in the world. Our immune systems were created for natural exposures and often can't protect us against engineered exposures.

Seriously, it's one of the biggest downside of industrialization because even though it's helpful, the risks we are being exposed to are too much for us to bear.

I think it changes our genes too. It will impact our children and their children and repeat.

If I'm bikepacking I'd camp most of the time. It's pretty awesome being on your own and waking up in cool places. Plus camping saves tons of money which is important on longer trips.

100% agreed! Unfortunately, I don't think there's anything we can do to stop what's happening now. Look at so many natural resources being wasted through disasters like wildfire, flood, toxic poisoning in the water and so on. It's too much.

I am with you on that! Hotels are comfortable, whereas camping makes the adventure more lifelike. There are occasions when you would combine both, based on the length of the ride.

When a biker is looking for more comfortability, he's likely going to close using hotels more than camping although, it can be comfortable depending on how he packed for it.
