High-end cycling gear, apparel, bags, and other accessories are often seen on professional riders, cycling vloggers, and other influencers and creators in the cycling niche, characterized by their flashy and expensive nature.

Is it just a status symbol or an attempt to fit in with everyone else? Or is this gear worth spending the extra money on?

What do you think?

Personally, I don't see having high-end cycling gear, apparel, bags, and other accessories as what makes someone a professional riders. They can simply afford buying all of them which not all can afford. It's why I don't use all that to justify anyone as a pro cyclist.

I'd rather save the money and buy a good bike and better components for the bike. I'm fine wearing some cheap Chinese-made clothes.

China even make high quality clothes these days irrespective of them being cheap. This is what a lot of people don't know lately, they think because they are Chinese made clothes, it wouldn't be good.

I have many clothes made in China. They're not bad.

Heck, all my nice bikes are made in Asian countries as most are. The factories just have higher QA standards than some.

If you pay more, you usually get a higher QA standard manufacturer.

Exactly! This is what most importers do in my country. They would go to China and ask for a lower QA standard manufacturers to use and bring in low quality product because the people want cheaper things.

China can give you anything you want in terms of quality if you're willing to pay for it.
