I like Van der Poel. He’s just exciting to watch because you never know what he’s gonna pull off anytime. I like to watch him. He makes races fun, and that’s all I really want in cycling.

We’ve got a few local bikes racing around here. It's nothing huge, but at least they draw a decent crowd from far and near. I jumped into one some years back and it was all fun, but I don't think I can do it anymore. The vibe was good though, we just had a bunch of people riding together.

I try to catch up on it every year, even if it’s just the highlights. I can’t actually sit for hours, but the mountain stages are always worth watching. Those crowds on the climbs look wild sometimes and it's almost like a festival. It would be amazing to be there in person someday.

I was never a big Lance fan, but honestly he messed up no doubt, but the sport had plenty of scandals before and after him to be honest. For me, I don’t see him as one of the role model in cycling anymore.
