Same for me. In all honesty, I'm not good about washing my bike unless it gets super muddy. But I do keep them inside.

It's not totally safe but in the event that the gas gets too expensive, it might worth it. Heck, we might see more people around my parts on e-bikes than not if gas gets crazy.

Health is definitely a show stopper. But in all honesty, I'd get pretty depressed if I couldn't bike anymore. I think the grief of that would further decrease my health.

I guess it depends on where you are. I've seen many traditional cycling groups that wish e-bikes would get banned. Of course, they then cry when drivers wish bikes would get banned. I think we all need to be for each other instead of divided.

I actually canceled my subscription and remain canceled until they gave me a better deal. Instead of paying the $75 for it (annual), I picked it up for around $50. But it is really expensive, and you really don't get that much to make it worth that amount, IMO.

We really have. It's getting better and better too with technology. My shifting controls are all electronic. Battery powered. It's easier and you don't even feel the changing of gears.

I think there is elitism in some groups. But for the most part, cyclists are pretty accepting of everyone, whether you're really good at it or bad at it. Cycling is one of those things you'll get better and better at as long as you stay motivated to try harder and do new things.

I'd rather save the money and buy a good bike and better components for the bike. I'm fine wearing some cheap Chinese-made clothes.

Have you ever had a bike repair that didn't quite go as planned? Wrong in terms of it not fixing the problem or even causing more problems, such as more damage or even a wreck? If so, please tell us about it and how we can avoid a similar situation.

I know riders who prefer a very thick and large chamois in their cycling shorts. I know others who want a medium-sized sized and some who want a thin pad. I even know folks who don't like chamois at all. Where are you at in this conversation? What chamois thickness do you prefer and why?

Do any of you experience any sort of long-term pain from cycling? I'm not exactly talking about saddle sores or a sore butt from sitting in the seat. I'm talking about pain from riding long-term. Are any of you experiencing this at all?

I have while hiking, many times - but never on the bike, yet LOL, at least never without a restroom somewhere that I made it to.

Cornering at speed is definitely one for me. I'll slow way down before taking a corner. If I'm riding with a group that is better at cornering than I am, that's usually when I lose the group and have to work my butt off to catch back up with them.

I've learned so much stuff with YouTube. My headlight went out and I paid around $250 to get it fixed by the dealer. Now I can do it, thanks to YT and it costs be the price of the light which is like $30.
