Other Do you prefer clipless or flat pedals?

For the newbies, don't be confused when you hear clipless pedals because they can clip irrespective of being called clipless.

Do you prefer using clipless pedals or flat pedals? For someone like me who enjoys freedom and fancy quick stops when riding, flat pedals is my favourite.

What's your preference between clipless and flat pedals?

I used to be a flat pedal only rider.

However, now I mainly use SPD clipless. I have them on my road bike and my gravel bike. I just feel more secure in them.

Now for mountain biking, it's flats. I want to be able to get out of my pedals as fast as possible when on a singletrack trail going faster speeds.
